New tasks to prevent crimes from happening in Arcadia, CA.

Earlier this month, members of the West San Gabriel Valley Anti-Crime Task Force were providing aid to the city of Arcadia to prevent crime from happening throughout the city. The task force includes detectives from the Arcadia Police force as well as it s surrounding cities. Last Thursday, on April 17, 2014, the task force was responding to a burglary in progress call on the 1100 block of West Foothill Blvd in Arcadia, California. When they arrived to the scene, a foot pursuit ensued and they found themselves in pursuit of three individuals that were trying to flee the scene. The vehicle they were in was immediately reported stolen and they were only able to apprehend one of the suspects. However, after some investigation, they were able to identify all three of the suspects and uncovered that the individuals were a part of a burglary crew that is suspected of targeting several Arcadia homes in the past year. Later on that week, the task force was able to apprehend the other two gentlemen involved in the burglary and they are still investigating the burglary crew in order to prevent any more burglaries in the area.
