How is the bail amount set?

If besides the crime there were other extenuating issues then these will be included in the bail amount. Example, If you are arrested for a DUI this might include a larger bail amount if there was injury due to an accident or loss of life.
What is a felony?

Some common misdemeanors crimes are petty theft, trespassing, public intoxication and vandalism. Some misdemeanor crimes can be elevated to a felony depending on the circumstances.

What is collateral?
Collateral is usually property or valuables that are used to make sure that the bail bond will be paid in full.

If I have to use a collateral when do I receive it back?
Usually you will receive your collateral no later than 14 days after the case is resolved. We hold the collateral for the entire duration of the case or until you complete all of the payments on your payment plan.
